The 3 FREE and simple things you can do right now to get rid of paper

  1. Go to your current in-tray at your desk.
  2. Pick up the first Supplier Invoice in the in-tray.  Send them a copy of the Supplier email below (remember to put your own details in!).
  3. If you also send paper invoices out to your clients, type up a quick email asking them if it would be ok to start emailing their invoice instead of using snail mail.

Subject - Could you please help me out with this?

Hi Jo Blow Supplier, it's John from ACME Plumbing here.

We're currently moving our business into the 21st Century here at ACME Plumbing and if you could help by emailing your invoices to us from today onwards it would be a great help.

Please send all invoices to this address: [email protected], and they'll be processed as per normal.

This will also help you save money with printing your invoice out, putting it in an envelope, buying a stamp and taking it to the post office.

Thanking you in advance,

Jo Blow, ACME Plumbing

By doing this you will start saving money right now! As of now every invoice you send via email is saving you paper, printer ink, wear and tear on your printer, an envelope, a stamp - and the big one - the labour to do all of the above. TIME IS MONEY whether you're paying staff to do it or you're doing it yourself.

The savings get much bigger but this is the easiest and best place to start.  Just dealing with one thing at a time can make a massive difference very quickly.

Yep, it's that easy, don’t get me wrong there is a right way and a wrong way to do everything but if you do it step by step, as above its not hard and you're well on your way to a paperless world!
